It's so easy,
To fool yourself,
Into believing,
That the world is gone,
All the problems,
Are behind you,
But inside we know,
That's a lie.
As I sit,
On this rocky shoreline,
The wind blowing against my face,
The forest is silent,
All one can hear,
Is the faint rushing,
Of the creek.
I think I'll sit here a while,
And let myself believe,
That this is all,
Just a dream,
And one day,
I'll wake up,
With nothing in my way.
