Why some people cannot succeed

Some people seem to have all the success in the world. Everything they try goes through; even the things that they don't seem to try too hard on seem to work out for them. But then there is the other end of the spectrum. There are people who, no matter what they do, they never succeed. They can’t seem to have anything work out for them, and soon they get frustrated at life in general. It makes one wonder why this happens, but there are actually several reasons for lack of success.

Lack of drive

Some people don’t seem to succeed because they lack the drive, or motivation, to get there. They want success, but they only want it if it’s easy. They aren’t willing to go that extra mile to achieve their goals or dreams. Sometimes that is what it takes, though. Sometimes, to achieve the bigger picture, a person has to give up something in return. This is called compromise.

Procrastination

Some people don't succeed because they put off their long term goals in order to meet their short term needs. They keep putting off what needs to be done, thinking that they have all the time in the world. They don't realize that ever second they spend pushing things off, is time wasted. If they didn't put things off, they could get stuff done without having to worry about it just before they need to get it done. If they do the things that they need to do, they can get it done sooner and have more time for the things that they want to do.

Self Destruction

Some people don't feel that they can succeed at all. This goes hand in hand with lack of motivation. But in a sense, this is much worse. Whereas if someone suffers from lack of motivation doesn’t try when things get ‘too hard’, the person who suffers from self-destruction convinces themselves that they cannot achieve their goals. They will tell themselves, “this won’t work,” or, “I’m not good enough.” Because of this view, they won’t even try to succeed. If the self-destructive person taught themselves to catch those thoughts before they strike, they would be able to change those thoughts to something better. Instead of “this won’t work” they would be able to think “I can do it if I really try.”

Lack of organization

A lot of people have issues with organization. It’s a proven fact that a person who is organized is more likely to succeed in the things that they want. However, for someone who is normally unorganized, they
