Summer is almost over, and those beautiful plants in the yard may not survive the winter. Some plants, such as dwarf plumeria, need to be moved inside in certain climates. If plants have been allowed to grow over the summer, they may be too large for a small planter! Fortunately, there are plenty of cheap large planter pots for sale in many national locations.

Sam's Club, an affiliate of Wal-Mart, offers a large planter starting at $33 US dollars. The planter is crafted by Koolscapes, and is a tan color. The material is faux stone. The planter is 21" high, 19" wide, and 19" deep.

Crate and Barrel manufactures a large planter, with prices ranging from $39.99 USD to $69.99 USD. The planter is an iron and brass design, and stands 17.5" high. Drainage holes with plugs are included.

Kmart sells a planter which doubles as a hose storage center. The planter is offered in three colors: sandstone, terra cotta, and black granite. Hose storage comes with options; the hose may remain hooked to the faucet or it can be coiled completely within the pot using a plug to disguise the storage space. The plant is wider than it is deep, with a 21 inch diameter and a 9 3/8 inch height. This planter may be used indoors or out, and can be moved for winter plant storage. This planter is priced at $60 USD.

Of course, Wal-Mart also has a range of large flower pots. One of these pots is the Oakland Living Hummingbird 12" Round Flower Pot. This flower pot is designed to surround a smaller pot. It is constructed of rust free cast aluminum metal. It will require assembly, but it arrives with concise instructions. The price is around $45 USD. Another Wal-Mart flower pot is Mainstays set of 3 pots, starting at $38 USD. The planters are perfect for changing climates as they are easily moved from outside to inside. The pots are made from sturdy polypropylene, and crafted to resemble concrete. The pots are 21", 18", and 15" in diameter.

Many of these large planter pots are decorative and reasonably priced. The choice of planter depends on the needs of the plant and the decor of the home. However, the planters mentioned above should fit into most gardening budgets. The avid gardener will know when it is time to implement planters for the health of their garden. Purchasing simple, cheap planters benefits the plants, the happiness of the gardener, and the security of the bank account.
