Yes Christians should celebrate St. Valentine's Day and those who do, more than likely celebrate the meaning of St. Valentine’s Day which is "Love" everyday throughout the year.  It always amazes me when some people complain about the fact that we celebrate any special day. Why do they get so angry or upset because of the way we spend our money especially if it is bring a smile to the face of someone we love.

Why would anyone not want other people to have jobs so that they can support their families, pay their taxes and make this world a better place to live in?

By celebrating St. Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, Mother's Day and Father's Day, birthdays, anniversaries, etc. we are keeping our economy going, we are making other people happy, by being nice to each other and showing love not only on that special day, but throughout the year. Would these same people want us to spend our money on, drugs, alcohol or even paint so we could go and graffiti all over our cities and towns?

Let's suppose years ago, all the stores got together and pushed the idea of celebrating certain days to make money, what is wrong with that?

Perhaps some people are just wiser than we are, perhaps they are luckier than we are, perhaps they know how to manage a business better than we would and they make money by selling us their wares, why would anyone complain about it.

Why should we judge what these people do with their money they earn from us?  To begin with we could more than likely look up many large corporations and learn how much they spend on helping others. If they are smaller, such as a neighborhood vender, we would be able to learn how much they give to some of the organizations in our or their neighborhoods. Do they help their places of worship throughout the years? Do they donate to any fund raisers held in the neighborhood throughout the year? Do they give school supplies to help the needy and the children of the customers throughout the year?

Just because we aren't wise enough to open and run a business as well as they do, why would we begrudge them the opportunity to do so.  What are the reasons for our disliking the fact that our neighbor enjoys celebrating a special day, as long as they are not being destructive, or attacking another human being, why would we object?

I have never met someone from another religion who has not respected my
