Wales is the smallest of the three countries that makes up mainland United Kingdom. Located in the south west of the UK, the size should not put anyone of visiting however as Wales has many attractions to offer tourists. These can make a trip to the country a fantastic experience and it is a destination that anyone who visits is sure to enjoy. If you are unsure about visiting and are looking for some reasons to do so, the following are some great reason to visit Wales.

Mountains

Wales has some spectacular scenery on offer and the country is small enough to easily tour around and see many of the beautiful sights. Some of the mountain landscapes are the best on offer in the UK with Snowdonia in particular being worth a visit. This is located in the north of Wales and is home to Snowdon which is the highest mountain in the country. While getting to the top of some mountains to admire the view can be a bit of a trek, this is not the case with Snowdon. The Snowdon Mountain Railway runs to the top of the mountain and a trip on this can be a great way to see Snowdon itself and the surrounding countryside. Another area in Wales that has some impressive mountain views on offer is the Brecon Breacons in the south of the country. The beautiful scenery of Wales is one of its best attractions and visiting some of the mountain landscapes can be a great reason to visit.

Cardiff

Cardiff is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Wales. There are many on offer with some of these including Cardiff Bay which is a beautiful part of the city and a great place to spend some relaxing time. Other attractions that the city has to offer include Cardiff Castle, the Welsh Folk Museum, the Millennium Stadium and the markets in Queen Street. However these are only a few of the sights to see and there are many attractions on offer. Anybody who visits Wales should take the time to spend at least a day in Cardiff to check out the many sights and attractions that it has.

Golf

The United Kingdom has some great golf courses on offer and Wales is no exception in this. For a small country it has almost 200 golf courses and the vast majority of these are set in spectacular scenery. If you are a golfing fan therefore, there are many great courses to play with some of the best of these including Royal
