There's nothing good on TV anymore.'
How many times have you heard that? More importantly, how many times have you thought it? We've all done it. We've all mindlessly clicked, channel to channel, searching for something - anything - that's interesting. The conclusion to our personal scientific survey is often the declaration There's NOTHING good on TV anymore.'
I'm here to prove you wrong.
In fact ever since the networks got their asses handed to them by Mark Burnett (and his many clones) by the stunning success of reality television, most networks have stepped up to the creative plate.
In the last five years, we've seen a tremendous swing towards riveting, on-the-edge-of-your-seat television that's not only shown reality television the door, but also raised the quality stakes for the lucky viewer.

TOP 10 TELEVISION SHOWS EVERYONE SHOULD BE WATCHING:
1. Rescue Me (FX Network - US, Showcase - Canada)
If you're not already watching this series then you're missing some of the finest writing and performing currently on TV. Peter Tolan and Denis Leary - and their stellar cast - have mastered a level of storytelling that seems almost effortless in its perfection. Seasons 1 & 2 are currently on DVD. Check out the short film on Season 2's discs - hilarious.
2. Entourage (HBO - US, City-TV - Canada)
No doubt you've heard about this one. Watching it is like slipping into the decadent whimsy of everyone's grandest Hollywood fantasy. Created by Mark Whalberg and loosely based on his rise to movie stardom, this series is crisply written and energetically directed by Hollywood's real world cool guys club.
3. Lovespring International (Lifetime - US, Showcase - Canada)
In only it's first season, this series has already established its top notch position as a hilarious new comedy. Original, intelligent, perfectly acted the series follows the lives of a group of socially retarded relationship coaches' as they help single people find love.
4. Weeds (Showtime - US, Showcase - Canada)
I have to admit that it took a little time before I fell for this show, but once I did, I was a goner. This is a expertly crafted series about doing what you need to do to get by. I like what it says
