Poetry: You changed me

by Belinda Southwark

Created on: August 25, 2010

Once upon a time I was a lonely child

Searching for something to love

I had people, and songs, but nothing else

And what I had wasn't quite enough.

One day, I decided to listen-

Hear more music, hear more songs

Then I heard your name

And something changed in my heart.

After I heard it, I needed to know

Who or what you were

I found out, and sought out

And I finally saw you.

Now I will never be the same again

But I am more than glad

I have an idol, an ideal, a dream

And that is more than enough.
