Cell phone reviews: Motorola Droid

I recently purchased the Motorola Droid (2). I have only had it about a month and a half, and already this thing is my life. I love it. It has some awesome, fun apps, is easy to use, and is just great. Though this phone is great, and I do not at all regret getting it, there are some downsides to the phone as well. The major one (to me) would be its size. I cannot fit the thing in my pocket. It’s just too big. Another issue I have with the phone is that sometimes, it seems like the touch screen just doesn’t work. Other than those small issues, I love this phone.

You can download apps onto your phone right from you phone using the app marketplace. It is awesome and very convenient. They have apps to suit everyone’s lifestyle. I like games like Tetris and Bejeweled. I found games that are exactly like those in the marketplace. I also enjoy reading denominational posters, and guess what? They had to whole apps dedicated to those. With these apps, I have endless hours of fun right there on my phone. I can play games or read posters while waiting for the doctor or waiting to get my military ID (Which can take hours…), and be perfectly happy.

Also, the phone is very easy to use and navigate. Sure, it does take a little getting used to, but overall it is amazing and very simple to use. You can put all your apps and buttons right there on the front screen. The buttons are simple to figure out. What more can I say? It’s a great phone.

Now, here comes the issues with the phone. First off, the size. Again, it’s just way too big. I am going to the fair in a few days and I need to carry my phone with me, but I do not want to carry around a big purse. But it doesn’t fit in my pocket. I usually carry just about everything in my pockets when I am out at the mall or something like that, because a purse is just too much of a hassle. But with this phone, I kind of have to carry a purse around if I want my phone on me.

The only other issue I have with the phone is the touch screen. My boyfriend tried to call a few days ago, and when I went to answer the call, my phone would not let me slide the answer key. I tried and tried and finally slid the decline button across…And of course that one worked. Why is this? Whatever it was doing, it did not make me very happy.

But both of those things seem like pretty small downsides and I still love this phone very much and would definitely recommend it to anyone who has Verizon and is looking to get a new phone.
