How to conceal dark circles under your eyes

Hello bright eyes…or not so bright eyes! Have you been feeling self-conscious about the dark circles under your eyes? Are you trying all of those creams and serums? Still no results? If you have been trying to cover them up with cakey concealer then it is time you tried something else.

Covering up those dark bags under your eyes is a difficult and frustrating thing to do. To start off, you need to find products that work for you. Instead of looking for a concealer that matches your skin look for one that negates the unsightly color of the bags under your eyes. If your eyes are dark underneath, you should try negating the color with a light concealer. I recommend using the Coastal Scents Corrector Quad. It has lavender for people with a yellow skin tone, yellow to hide the black or blue blemishes, sky blue for uneven tan or self tanning mishaps, and mint green for red blemishes or broken capillaries. You will also need a skin toned concealer so you don’t have random green or yellow spots on your skin. Coastal Scents also has a Camo Quad in three different tones. They are handy skin toned concealer pallets.

First you should wash your face and moisturize. Then take the Corrector Quad and start with the yellow. Use your finger or a concealer brush and place in starting just on the discolored spot under your eye. Gently blend it into your skin until it completely covers the dark spot. Repeat on the other eye. Then grab your Camo Quad and use the lightest color. Place in starting with the inner corner of your eye beside the bridge of your nose and smudge it into the yellow. Then get a little more of the white and cover the yellow with it. Remember not to use much. A little bit will go a long way with this concealer. Once you have finished both eyes make sure they look even. Then you can continue with your usual makeup routine.

Instead of using Coastal Scents you can use any cream concealer. Just make sure that it has a color correcting portion in it. You can really use anything in place of the Camo Quad. It does need to have the white in it, though, because you need that as a highlight color so it will make your eyes look bigger and more awake. Just check out the products at your local drug store.
