Fear lurks within me,
Deep inside my mind.
Cluttered in a dark room,
Bitter and unkind.
Waiting and begging to be free,
I hide my fear inside of me.
I keep it help behind a shield,
To show that I am strong.
But I know sometime,
My fear will prove me wrong.

Poetry: My fear
by Maffew James
I don't know how to tell you this
So maybe I'll just run
I don't know how to look at you
Your eyes bring me undone

I stare down at the evidence
Of something so dependable

Reading with my eyes, scanning
Now
Fear lurks within me,
Deep inside my mind.
Cluttered in a dark room,
Bitter and unkind.

I often sit looking out my window
A bleak look upon my face
The world outside my window
Nothing more than a disguise
