If you are the designated Thanksgiving hostess this year and are desperately searching for something new to add to your holiday drink menu consider the following fun Thanksgiving themed drinks.   Your adult guests will thank you for it!

Pilgrim

To make the “Pilgrim” you will need; 1 ½ ounces Baracardi Light Rum, ½ ounces grenadine, 4 ounces of cranberry juice and 4 ounces of orange sherbet.   This is a “build” drink so you will need to slowly pour all of the ingredients in the order given into a chilled bucket style glass filled with ice one at a time.    You will know that you have created the drink properly if it appears to have colorful layers.

Plymouth Rocks

To make the “Plymouth Rocks” you will need; 1 ½ ounce of Baracardi Light Rum, grape juice and club soda.   This is a “build” drink so you will need to slowly pour all of the ingredients in the order given into a chilled bucket style glass filled with ice one at a time.    You will know that you have created the drink properly if it appears to have colorful layers.

Prairie Fire

To make the “Prairie Fire” you will need; 1 ¼ ounces of Gold Tequila and 4 to 5 dashes of Tabasco Sauce.   This is a “build” drink so you will need to slowly pour all of the ingredients into a shot glass one at a time.    You will know that you have created the drink properly if it appears to have colorful layers.

Thanksgiving Special

To make the “Thanksgiving Special” drink you will need; 1 ounce gin, ¾ ounce apricot flavored brandy, ¾ ounce dry vermouth and a splash of lemon juice.   Combine the entire list of ingredients into a shaker half filled with ice and shake well.   Strain and serve into a well chilled cocktail glass.

Mayflower Cocktail

To make the “Mayflower Cocktail” you will need; 1 ½ ounce sweet vermouth, ½ ounce dry vermouth, ½ ounce brandy, 1 teaspoon pernod, 1 teaspoon triple sec and a dash of orange bitters.   Combine the entire list of ingredients into a shaker half filled with ice.   Shake well and then strain the mixture into a chilled cocktail glass and serve.

Turkey Shooter

To make the “Turkey Shooter” drink you will need; ¾ ounce Wild Turkey bourbon and ¼ ounce white crème de menthe.   Pour the ingredients into a shaker more than half filled with ice and shake well.   Strain the mixture into a well chilled cordial glass or brandy snifter and serve.

Americana

To make the “American” drink you will need ¼ ounce Tennessee whiskey, 1 teaspoon fine white sugar, a dash of bitters and a bottle of chilled champagne.   Combine the whiskey, sugar and bitters into either a Collins or high ball glass.   Stir the mixture until the sugar is dissolved.   Fill the remaining space in the glass with chilled champagne and serve.
