Deep in the nation’s capital of Washington DC is Loews Georgetown, situated in a historic venue that has witnessed many great events. Georgetown is also home to the academe, as well as a bustling district that has remained at pace with modern developments, while still keeping its classic American charm.

For movie goers and fans alike, the Loews Cinema complex will surely not disappoint. According to locals, construction of this facility took several years, and upon its opening, people were truly mesmerized by the sheer size of it. Included within the construction is the smokestack of the Georgetown Incinerator, originally part of the harbors some decades ago.

There are 14 cinemas in this megaplex, with seating capacities ranging from 100 persons to 300 people. All theaters have Digital Surround Sound, as well as super comfy stadium seating that truly add to the excitement of movie-watching. 

Ticket prices vary depending on the day of the week as well as the scheduled movie screening times. Students and senior citizens can avail of discounts. There is a large underground parking facility so visitors need not worry about finding an empty space just in time for the show.

Loews Georgetown is situated on 3111 K Street, NW, Georgetown. K Street is known as a major thoroughfare in Washington DC, where many offices, government agencies, and business establishments are found. The DC Circulator, or the local bus line, travels to and from this street daily. The Metro Connection buses have a more direct route that can take you to the theater.

Aside from catching the latest flicks, one can also stroll about the neighborhood and experience fine dining from a selection of many hotels, cafes, and restaurants. Along the Loews Cinema is the Lighthouse Café, where visitors of every age can come in and sample yummy desserts and drinks to enjoy before or after every movie.

The Ritz-Carlton Hotel, located in the same compound, has two distinguished establishments for guests who love the nightlife. Degrees is the hotel bar and club, while Fahrenheit features delectable dishes from Chef Terence Fuery. 

So for a cinematic experience like no other, head on over to AMC Loews Georgetown, and see what locals and tourists alike have been excitedly buzzing about. Not only will you get to enjoy a great film and some great eats, but you can also take in the sights and splurge as you shop within the harbor complex.
