Poetry: The moment of truth

by Steve Marshall

Created on: August 23, 2010

A moment of truth is infinitely eternal,
but truth exists, not just for a moment.
Truth exists, persisting in God's love,
if love gives truth an unresisted shove.

Facing the truth in its moment of truth,
loving the whole truth into your being.
Disrespecting God, all lost in yourself,
is not seeing your moment, in his truth.

Reactions to truth must be fully loving.
Actions unloving are proven never truth.
Truth never adds up to just being love,
unless cladded above from God's love.

Half hearted love is not the whole truth.
Half the truth is always never honesty.
A whole lie made in a moment of love,
is an external internal moment, in pain.

If we must have our moment of truth,
don't let's make it all end up, all in vain.
If a truth becomes separated from love,
it's never a whole truth, anymore again.

If you can't have your moment of truth,
don't lie to try to again bring it into life,
The moment of truth comes in its time,
but lives outside of all time within love.
