Into

Txt Msging?


Times they change, we must adapt.

A few characters take the place of a paragraph.

Short retort bursts volley between you and me.


The joy :)

The tears :(

Sent in brief moments we seize

Shared with a colon and parenthesis.


Music plays, little lights blink from a tiny machine.  

Can the true depth of my thoughts be captured on this small screen?

R u able 2 c what I mean?


What happened to the written word?

At times it all seems quite absurd.

Language and sentiment has become

Abbreviated symbols under your thumb.
