It is very clear that some people don’t pay attention to the fat grams and calories that they eat, as many people are over weight. It would be nice to be able stay on a diet and still be able to enjoying going out and relaxing at a restaurant. If restaurants would have calories and fat grams listed either in their menu or on a separate menu it would help people to stay in their allotted diets without having to guess at what foods they can eat.
Many people today are over weight and struggling to loose weight. Some people are being careful of the fat grams they eat because of their hearts or other health conditions. When these people go out to eat they have to try to figure out what food they can fit into their diet. Many foods don’t sound or look high in calories or fat grams but in fact they really are. For the people who are being health conscious going out and relaxing at a nice restaurant is hard on their bodies and diet.
Everyone likes to go out to a nice restaurant, but not at the expenses of their health. Many foods can sound or look like a good choice. Surprisingly there can be lots of hidden calories and fat grams just in that one meal. Posting the calories and fat grams on the menu would allow conscious calories and fat grams counter to enjoy their night out with be disastrous to their health and diet.
Besides taking up more room on the menu, what would it hurt to have the calories and fat grams listed? This information could be fitted in side a small box beside the picture of the food item or next to the items description. It wouldn’t hurt the people who don’t care about the calories and fat grams, yet give the needed information to the people who need to pay attention to their health.
Overall it would not hurt a restaurant to list their calories and fat grams on their menus. It would help the restaurant so that any guests could safely enjoy their meal and maybe even return more often. Listing the calories and fat grams takes up very little space and can easily be fitted into most menus. Even having the calories and fat grams listed on the last page of the restaurant’s menu would allow health conscious people to stay healthy yet not take away from the overall look of the menu.
