How to live an easier life

When we talk of living an easier life, it often means doing very little, laziness, less aspirations and taking no responsibility. Living an easy life is perceived negatively in the present world when people are expected to be busy, stressed out and competitive to enable them to move ahead in life. Present materialistic and professional pursuits have made life complex. People do not know how to relax even for a few minutes.

However, living an easy life has a different meaning that can be perceived by one who brings broader purpose in life. It means eternal bliss and peace achieved through practicing contentment, gratitude, control on impulsive mind and unconditional love towards other people. As we bring all these attributes in our life, we notice life to be easy irrespective of difficulties and troubles that usually make a person stressed and worried. Unfortunately, most people overlook these intangible values in life as they do not feel it can bring any immediate benefit.

People aspire for easy life by thinking how to avoid problems, pain and suffering. They expect life to move smoothly. It makes them to look for easy solutions to the various problems in life. They expect other people to take care of them. It makes them to depend on colleagues, family members and others for support. They often blame others if things do not turn in their favor. Life brings both moments of happiness and troubles. We cannot expect external environment to remain always favorable for us. People have to bear troubles while dealing with others. The hard realities are tackled well if people take full responsible and not avoid facing difficulties in life. People who are casual and adopt easy and happy go merry go approach may be successful but only to a limited extent. This does not make life easy.

Life is easy if we live a balanced life taking care of physical, emotional and inner need. While wealth and other material comforts fulfill need of body, self-esteem, recognition and maintaining good relations with friends and relatives help to fulfill emotional need. Besides, we have to feel connected with God and other people through love and positive feelings to fulfill the need of soul. People who avoid developing such inner capacity feel turbulent, selfish and egoistic. This does not make  life easy despite external material comforts due to inner conflict and never ending expectations from others.

As people feel essence of soul and remain in remembrance of God enables
