Poetry: The day love died

by Anthony Shannon

Thats the date I will remember untill my breathe has left my body.

I will drink wine on this date, feeling those memories run through my mind,
thinking of the ups, and downs, the good, the bad,and the worst, knowing what we had
was real.Knowing its gone and never to be seen again. They were good times, great times
It will hurt me more if i sit and sulk for a while. I will proceed with my life not
forgetting you, but not letting other people do this to me again.

In case you read this in the future just so you know I defended your name to those I care
most about, thinking your not what they say.

I sit here now feeling my heart shred, I have never known a pain like this, nor should
anyone have to endure.

I will smile on this day forever.
