What does heaven mean to me?
This question is a tough one to tackle. Let me start by explaining where I came from in my life first. For the first thirteen years of my life, I was part of the church. I went every Sunday and once termed "the best little christian the church had ever seen." As I grew up, I had feelings the church told me were wrong and I was wrong to have them. The area I grew up in was run by the church and anything out of their perspective was considered sinful. I started to ask questions and the church didn't like it, so I ended up leaving. After a while, I began to feel out other major spiritual beliefs, such as Wicca, Paganism and such. I do not identify as either of the aforementioned, but somewhere in the middle.
For me, heaven has a myriad of different meanings. For me, it means a time to relax and just reflect on what you managed to accomplish during your life. I means possibly being reborn into a more blessed life and the ability to experience something completely different, after all, the more experience you have, the better for you. I think heaven is also here and now and everyone has the chance to make it for themselves through changing with the world and experiencing the pleasures the world has to offer. I believe heaven is also inside all of us. We have the power to make things extremely happy or extremely horrible. Like I mentioned before, I don't follow any major religion, but I do carry tenants from at least tree of the major ones. Heaven is supposed to be a wonderful after life, a place to rest and recollect what the previous life has been like, a place within all of us in order to give us the chance to change things in life we don't like and make things happy for us, and a place n this earth where we feel completely happy, open and at peace.
I know this probably isn't what alot of you wanted to hear on this topic, but it's simply how I feel through what I've experienced. I feel like I've learned alot on a many various topics and I don't normally follow the mainstreams of society, but I tend to choose for myself what to believe.
Thanks for listening
