I would have to say that my funniest gardening experience was with my mother. We always had a garden while growing up and I, as well as, my brothers would help my mother when it was time to pick the vegetables or weed the garden. On this particular day I was out helping my mother weed and pick things out of the garden, which just so happened to be right next to the swing set we had as children. I would say we had been out there for maybe 20 minutes or so, do on the ground pulling weeds and picking the fresh vegetables, I was on 1 side while my mother was at the other. I had my back to my mother when all of the sudden she let out a blood-curdling scream. When I turned around I say my mother running as fast as she possibly could and making her way to the top of the slide on the swing set with very little effort. I couldn't for the life of me figure out what had happened until she began screaming and pointing at the garden. At this point I began to look to see what it was and to my surprise it was nothing more than an itsy bitsy gardener snake who was doing nothing more than just laying there in the garden.
It ended up taking what seemed like an eternity to get my mother pried from the top of that slide, but eventually we did with the help of my brothers and my father.
