Someone who is vegan does not consume animal based food products. This includes the meat of any living creature such as cow, pig, chicken, fish, etc. and the milk or by-products of any living creature such as cheese, ice cream, gummy bears/worms, etc. Most vegan people also do not purchase or use products that come from animals at all such as leather, fur, snake skin, etc.
A vegansexual is someone who chooses to limit their romantic partnerships to others that are vegan.
People, humans in general, have been limiting their sexual partners for one reason or another for a very long time. When people of one religion don't want to date outside of their religion, it seems to be alright to most people.......but do it for any other reason and it's frowned upon. In the end though, no matter what I am or what I believe...who I date, marry, or have sex with is still up to me. Why should it matter how any human chooses to limit themselves? Am I judging you, or are you judging me?
For some reason, vegans are being judged extremely harshly for choosing to limit their sexual partners to other vegans. I am a vegan that is going to marry a vegetarian. My man might not eat meat, but he certainly does eat a whole bunch of other non-vegan foods. I personally don't care. One time, he ate chicken. I still kissed him afterward. I didn't judge him for eating some chicken either, I still love him. But what if I had gotten upset? Refused to kiss him? Told him how horrid it was he ate a dead animal?
If those are my beliefs, I am entitled to them. They are mine and no one can tell me that I'm not allowed to believe what I believe.
So why do vegans get judged so harshly when they believe what they do and put practice behind it? I don't agree with all other vegans all the time, but I never tell them they are wrong for believing what they are believing. I expect the same respect in return. I agree that some vegans judge people who eat meat harshly, I understand they sometimes say offensive or crude things about it. All humans do that for a lot of different reasons, why vegans are the only ones that get a bad reputation for it (when most of them aren't even like that) I'll never know. Plenty of people who eat animal based foods toss horribly cruel words at vegan people, for no reason other than the fact that they are vegan.
In my personal experience as a vegan person that doesn't care what you eat, I know I am accused of being judgmental all the time. I'm told I'm prejudice against
