Why women have to be more concerned with the way they dress at work than men

The rules of engagement are never as they appear in the workplace. That’s because while it’s an atmosphere of professional services, conduct may not apply. At least not yet. So the way women dress to work may contradict what is thought of by the opposite sex. With that, here are some reasons why women should be concern with the way they dress to work.

* It’s Not A Club *

Dark eye liner and net stockings will not do in a setting where minds should be focus at the work on the screen. When there are distractions which causes eyes to glimpse towards you and the arousal of the nether region, it’s best that the glamor be saved after work. Besides, you don’t want to have your workplace be a romp for employing a freak.

Being called names and worse, defamation of the female role may become a barrier towards the advancement of your career. You don’t want to tattoo yourself with something so soon. Work now, play later. Keep your shirt buttoned up and the laces tied on your shirt. The pole dancing can happen on your own time when nobody at work has to know.

* It’s Not A Date *

So that gentleman may be handsome and you’re thinking of looking a little flirtatious tomorrow, don’t. While you may succeed, it will be pretty obvious why. Not only will the guy be head over heels, but the whole workplace too. If you’re thinking of building a relationship at work with another co-worker, consider your peers who have to watch you both be lovey-dovey.

‘Keeping personal from professional’ is a statement that absolutely applies to this area. If you can’t keep your hands to yourself, then you’ll lose more than face. You’ll lose your reputation. Besides, if you happen to get fired, will you still continue the relationship? Consider that and go at ease and let your temptations take the backseat at work.

* It’s Not A Competition *

While beauty queens tend to flock together, they also compete with one another. When you have men in the workplace, women who change the way they look frequently will bring on interested company. Thus, it doesn’t make work work but a show and tell community. A lot of productivity is lost this way and unless you’re in an art-oriented environment, how you look should be kept to a minimal and not so flashy.

Overall, men and women are attracted to each other by habit. It’s in their nature to communicate and convey ideas which helps workflow succeed. When factors such as physical distractions come into place, a barrier is placed which then becomes a problem for both. So dress for success, not to impress and distract.
