The Shadow in the Night
The shadows of the night slowly appear
The stillness in the air begins to asphyxiate me
The anxious energy begins to seep into my emotions
The fears I feel are not from the darkness of the atmosphere
The emptiness comes not from the stillness of the night
The sole intruder tramples within my thoughts
The mind secures the mental intellections
The pain hidden from view remains a shadow in the night

Anticipating every act
And counting those
