Trapped inside my own illusion
Trapped inside my mind
Within the limits of this inner cell
That’s were I’m confined
Fear stops me breaking out
My chains are made from fear
Impervious surroundings
Designed to keep me here
I built this prison with bricks of doubt
And lined it with disbelief
My aspirations being suppressed
Could find no relief
I need faith to shatter the chains
And dissipate this illusion
Free me from this impostor
Who creates all this confusion
May I allay my fears and disbelief
And step outside my cell
Step straight into heaven
From a place so close to hell

And no, it's not because of you
I'm trapped
This cage, no one can see but me
Locks me in and pins me down
Its razor sharp steel bars run me though
Though my heart.
Everyone
When we were together, I felt like I was trapped
I worked so hard to hide it, all my strength was sapped
Slowly, I felt myself
