While I’m not going to argue yes, I believe the modern web consultant must be a salesman to a certain extent. This is seen as the ongoing web ventures open up to more and more work at home enthusiasts. The practices of internet marketing will then produce ‘black-hat’ strategies which will be wrapped in ribbons to make money quick. Thus, cashing in on the rush will be easy target for uninformed prey.
I see this happen all the time. I, myself have been scammed but in presenting this example, let’s just say that for every one down, another 10 or even 100 follows. It’s that bug of getting things to work no matter what. We’re curious about success and willing to take the risk to see it happen.
* Seeking Work For Cheap *
With the economy going steep, the concerns of webmasters elevate as everyone wants to bring in new business, however desperate decisions will also be made. Those chances that are given to self-taught SEO specialists may be on the cheap apart from commercial prices. So you’re talking about getting great ranks here fast. Who doesn’t want that?
When I hear of something quick and easy, I want to know how. I’m sure that our temptation to make decisions based around right and ethical standards will at some point become swayed by the possibilities of bigger desires. It happens and it just gets bigger as any market which needs more work have to consider.
Over time, as users educate each other on the innards of getting their page ranked and ethical business practices. It is only the long-term results which prevails that will bring proof towards the table. Who can make it happen and who can’t? This will all happen through trial and error.
* SEO Still New *
As SEO is still a new subject for most, those who aren’t familiar with it will find someone overemphasizes the content with technical jargon and think that they know what they’re talking about. Just as a car salesman is describing the car for you in detail, we haven’t a clue what we’re buying. It’s these impressions alone which we find ourselves get caught in the scam of opportunists time and time again.
While common sense teaches us what we should follow, going the opposite seems to attract us more. So SEO consultants nowadays may have many sources and it’s hard to differentiate who are the real deal when all you’re hearing is talk and not a lot of walk. However, the field is still young. Much to early to throw it to the dogs.
Overall, there’s got to be some viable proof in the pudding before you take on the chance to get your site dirty. Until then, the results which you fare might also not be favorable and that there is something you might want to factor in. It happens.
