Entrepreneurship: How to develop business ideas

by Thu Nguyen

Created on: August 14, 2010

Just within a decade alone, the shifting of business practices and even online marketing has brought upon itself many opportunities for work at home enthusiasts. With that, filtering out the noise from the signals will be a time-consuming process, but with some outlets on the internet as well as off, you can develop some great business ideas. Not only that, sharing it with others helps the process of idea generation take on a life of it’s own. Let’s go into some of the ways which you can do that now.

* Blogging *

A blog today is more than an online diary. It’s a place where you can clip news and bits of the web together and mold ideas into something more of which the whole blogosphere might see. Not only that, when you network with another through commenting, you’re inviting other users to learn more about who you are.

Consider it your online portfolio. How will you portray yourself? Through thought-provoking information and continuous feedback, all the curiosities you will find may be answered by like-minded individuals who will then brainstorm with you on your subject and more. Who knows? Just by blogging about your ideas, you will find someone who already has the answer to your questions.

Plus, it’s no lie that the more transparent you are online, the more personal branding you’ll be building for yourself. This is great for later on if you want to go big. So the first thing you want to do is voice your ideas. Start a blog and find out how you can develop those thoughts whether it’s through writing or speaking on videos.

* Social Networks *

The next place which you can develop further business ideas from are popular social networks online such as Twitter, Facebook and YouTube. While blogs can only do so much, through communicating as tweets, likes and asking questions through comments, you can find out more about something you’ve read online or even something you’ve found offline.

In fact, looking through Yahoo Answers alone might give you a lot of ideas on how some responses are given. The point is if you’re stuck which is like most, you’ll want to start with someone you already know. Then follow the crowd and also continue to blog to find out how you can shape your own ideas into a particular business model you can do. After all, being transparent allows others to see you’re totally committed.

* Seminars and Meetings *

While blogging and online networking are two hotspots, the old-school way still reigns. Seminars and meetings in which specialized topics or talks given by authors are still worthy of attending. It is here that you can meet up with people local and far who might eventually become partners and join you on your adventure with business brainstorming. How would you know if you don’t try? That's why no idea is small.

Through developing your business ideas in places which already have traffic, you’re getting the feedback you deserve. It's enough to know if that's something you will want pursue further.
