With the recession hitting hard, now is the perfect time to get creative about dating ideas that won't break your own personal bank. That may seem unromantic, but what could be more romantic than a date that someone has structured just for you, just for your relationship? Instead of trying to impress with how expensive you can make a date, why not rise to the challenge of creating a really good time without spending lots of cash? You may surprise yourself with just how much more enjoyable these dates can be. In many ways it is lazy to think an expensive dinner or a night at the movies or a club is the best way to go.

For shoppers, meet in a mall. Agree on a $5 or $10 limit and challenge your date to get the best buy. This is also fun to do in a flea market or at a garage or car boot sale, especially when you can watch the haggling with good humor.
