Deep
What did I see when I looked in his eyes
Besides his own beauty and grace…
Did I see that sweet color, as I had with no other,
Or the beautiful solace he hides with disgrace?
Why did he have to be so damned good?
His brashness, so wanted, made him misunderstood…
Was he shy,
Was he sly?
Was he foxy, or slow?
Was his passion with abandon? Was he ready to go?
If he slipped in, then what?
Would I let him have fun?
Would I give in to him, would I try not to run?
Was I scared that he might
Turn out to be right,
Cause me to lose my sleep, yet one more night?
Or, would he trick me, would he trip up my heart…
Bring me to love him, then tear me apart?
