Bright Hub is a writing site that offers excellent writing opportunities. If you enjoy research or have a good solid grasp of a specific topic group, Bright Hub may be a good site for you to review.  Writers are fully vetted before being accepted at Bright Hub and are asked to show credentials prior to being accepted.  Here are some of the features of Brighthub.com

Writer dashboard

The writer dashboard on Bright Hub is broken up into sections. The sections include current system messages, a writers "block" that shows the number of articles that a writer currently has in draft mode, articles that are pending approval and a message indicator. 

In addition to these sections, the dashboard also contains an area where you can get help on a variety of topics, and links to assignments (e.g. those articles which you have accepted), opportunities (e.g. articles that need writers), a location to manage your articles and a link to create a new article in a non-managed channel.

There are additional tabs sections at the top of the writer dashboard that allow the writer to review the page views for each article they have written, a resource tab and additional account information.

Why freelance writers utilize Bright Hub

Freelance writers who enjoy a challenge and are not intimidated by having an editor review and approve their work, find that Bright Hub is a good way to earn extra income.  Bright Hub pays all writers a minimum of $10 for each accepted article plus ongoing revenue from page views. A writer who can write to multiple channels could easily earn upwards of $300 per month writing one article per day plus page revenues.

Bright Hub also allows writers to include photographs (and in fact encourages them) in their work. Some assignments require that the writer include forms, spreadsheets or presentations for the reader. Articles must also link to other Bright Hub articles.

Creation of a Bright Hub article

The dashboard for writing articles is a bit awkward initially, but once a writer understands the format, it is not hard to use.  The article writing template consists of three (3) tabs, one for writing, one for SEO and one for series. The SEO tab must be completely filled out including keywords as well as a meta-title for each article.  Once this is complete the writer then uses the article tab to begin writing.
