Sleepers are what makes or breaks your NFL fantasy leagues teams. There are always a few late round picks that come and make a difference on your teams. In 2006, Drew Brees and Chad Pennington were gambles last year that paid dividends. Injuries shortened their previous seasons, making them the definition of a sleeper. To assure your team as success, it is a smart idea to draft a QB sleeper in late-rounds when most teams are trying to secure a backup RB or a 3rd WR. It is a little early to specify what some sleepers might be, but whoever drafts JaMarcus Russell is sure to have a QB with a big arm. I will give you my top 10 QB picks for 07-08 season, in no particular order:
Peyton Manning He has accomplished his goal of a championship, all he has left if basically break every passing record out there. Manning should be a beast this year.
Carson Palmer Unless the Bengals cut Chad Johnson and Houshmanzadeh and sign actual prison inmates, Palmer will have another 30 TD year.
Tom Brady This offseason the Patriots will try to make sure that Brady has a few weapons. If Caldwell would have been more sure-handed in the AFC Championship game, Brady could have a piece of jewelry occupying a fourth finger.
Donovan McNabb McNabb will be playing with a chip on his shoulder. He is going to prove all the Jeff Garcia lovers that he has a lot left in the tank. McNabb was off to one of his best seasons before going down with an injury. He will have a good season with Westbrook helping him with catching some passes out of the backfield.
Brett Favre Favre came back to do some damage, if a deal for Randy Moss goes down, he'll have his best deep threat to date. The Green Bay Packers are going to be better than the Wisconsin Badgers this year; it's been awhile since that has been true.
Drew Brees Brees won Comeback Player of the Year last year, he was aware that he
almost broke Dan Marino's single-season passing record. He could break it this year with a healthy Colston and Bush.
Tony Romo Jerry Jones is going to make sure that Romo will not fail. I wouldn't be surprised if they added another WR in the draft or via free agency. Jones will not his newest "golden boy" turn to stone. Another prediction, Romo will be dating either Kellie Pickler or the winner of this year's American Idol by season's end.
Matt Hasselbeck Hasselbeck will be helped by a healthy Shaun Alexander and an complete offseason with his quad of receivers. Branch, Jackson, Burleson, and Engram should have pretty good years.
