Here's the biggest advantage of a Big Lots credit card. It makes it easier to buy things at Big Lots - which means it's making it easier for you to save money. Big Lots sells nearly everything at a discount, and unlike most stores, it's things that you really need. There's furniture, household appliances, cool electronic gadgets and even clothing and toys.

When you're trying to save money, you only have to remember one rule: It's not saving money if you're buying things that you don't really want or need!  You're still spending money to make the purchase. (It's just less than the full retail price!) This is why a Big Lots credit card is probably one of the best to have. There's a good selection of things in the store which you're eventually going to need to purchase - so why not buy it at a discount?

In addition, low-priced items at Big Lots can sell out really quickly, and their discounts usually come from special one-time circumstances (like another supplier being overstocked or offering a seasonal discount.) So it's very unlikely that you'll get another chance to purchase the item at the same discounted price. If you don't have the money in your bank account, you can still get the discounted price by using your credit card.  Then you can pay down the cost of the purchases in your own time - while still locking in the discounted price!

The slogan of the store is "Think Extreme Value, Think Big Lots." And you can also save a lot of money by becoming a member of their rewards program. For example, if you spend more than $20 on 10 different visits over the course of a year, they'll give you a 20 percent discount on your next purchase at the store! This "Buzz Club" rewards program also offers regular reminders about special deals. For example, when Big Lots offers one of its once-a-week deals, it tips off the "Buzz Club" members a full two days in advance, and gives you a heads-up on the other items that are headed for your local Big Lots store!

The Buzz Club is a free (no-fee) program which comes with its own separate plastic card (which is not to be confused with an actual Big Lots credit card). It's available to all members, regardless of your credit rating. And it's another way that a plastic card can save you a lot of money at Big Lots.
