The news has broken the report a strange disaster has crippled your city. Power outages are city wide, and the water has been contaminated by a virus created in the medical on the upper side of town infecting the town's people. The only thing you can do is wait for help ,or find a way out. Are you prepared for such an event? These may seem like dark times, but do not despair.
Many have faced these kinds of events in various degrees. From illegally created bio-weapons to strange astronomical events, these things just happen - don't panic. This may be your only hope to survive this zombie outbreak.
The first thing to do is STAY CALM. Panic is a natural reaction to any sort of shocking news. It does not help to run screaming, arms flailing about, when you're on fire. It helps to stop drop ,and roll. This in mind, take a look at yourself. Are you currently injured, or feeling ill in any shape form, or fashion? Always ensure you do not let panic set in, or you will be dinner for the zombie horde down the road.
Next to look into is your situation. This will be connected to where, and what questions that no one wants to answer, but they may save your life. What type of location are you in? A city or a small cabin in the woods? What type of population is in this area you're in? Is it a large population or is it one of those small towns where the population cannot be counted because the people in town never knew about the invention of numbers?
Another important thing to look at is supplies, and do you really need that with you? Do you have a supply of water and food that is not associated to the cause of the zombie infestation?
What implements of self-protection do you have at the ready? While guns may not be completely necessary, they do make it easier to protect yourself from zombies at a distance. A heavy club,or farm implement will do the trick.
Finally if you have to move from where you are, map out a place to go. Ensure that you do not stop for any reason other than to hide from a zombie. If you must camp in the location you are at, no matter what you do in the location, ensure that all exits are barricaded, and the only way in is defended and properly booby trapped.
Hopefully, this small amount of information will help you survive, and the zombie attack will be a small, isolated incident. If it is widespread, just head to the country, and keep quiet. The last thing you need is to let zombies know the cave you're hiding in.
