First settled in 1673 and incorporated in 1713 Medway, MA was a small farming community of only 233 people. Today, Medway, MA is a vibrant community with more than 12,000 residents. If you live in or around the town of Medway, you will find plenty of places to volunteer.  The community offers a broad group of organizations that are constantly in need of volunteers to help their programs.

For Pet Lovers

For those who love spending time with four legged friends, Medway, MA offers both the Purrfect Cat Shelter and the Medway Dog Park.  Both of these not for profit groups seek volunteers to help improve the lives of the pets that make our life so special. You can get involved in either of these organizations and make a difference in the life of a dog or cat, or more than one dog or cat.

Town Opportunities

If you love to actively participate in town activities at the town level versus an individual group or organization, the Town of Medway has several volunteer positions that they seek to fill on a regular basis. These range from the Medway Pride Day Committee to the Medway Housing Committee. You can make a difference in the town by investing your time in helping to improve Medway.

Medway Lions Club

As part of one of the largest service organizations in the world, the Medway Lions Club hosts a number of annual events. These include regular can and bottle drives which help them raise money for the various charities they support, annual Christmas Tree Sales and the annual Pumpkin Run. This vibrant group of men and women are dedicated to helping support those who are in need and providing assistance with eyeglasses, hearing aids and scholarships for local students graduating high school.

Friends of the Medway Public Libarary

If you love to share your love of books with others, the Friends of the Medway Public Library could use your talents. Volunteers help at various programs, help raise funds for books on CD, help provide discounted or free passes to popular museums and help provide scholarships. As a Friend of the Medway Public Library you have the opportunity to make a difference by sharing your love of learning with others.
