Poetry: Dark soul

by Courtney Baker

Created on: August 07, 2010

There stands his soul leaning towards the edge

Eyes cold as stone lips a sown in smile

Mind full of hatred no longer wanting to be dead

His silence crawls under the living skin again

One cruel hand slams the lid far too tight

Pulls out the nails for it will be a long night

Smashing them in too close for comfort

For a man who shouldn't go six feet under

Never take something from a man that likes his possessions

Because the hunt becomes his obession

You can try to run as far as you can

But his speed and lust for your demise

Is the only twinkle in this man's eyes

The twisted carnival man has a plan

To each victim you certainly have a choice

Will you scream in a loud or muffled voice

Escape is a far too absurd concept

He'll find you and squezze so tightly that last breath

The pop of your eyes is his favorite song of all time

The main attraction is it always changes

Of course the star's names and faces

Take a ride on merry go round

Or get buried alive underneath it now

He enjoys the tilt o whirl best

Watching their insides fall out of their chest

He laughes with pure glee

For torture makes his twisted heart sing

Pulling the fingers back feeling the bones crack

Yanking out their nails polishing them as a prize

His captives awaiting the next carnival ride
