How to bond with a new cat

Well the panic set in right away, confusion and frustration blurred my vision although I knew I was not even home. I asked my friend what she thought may happen and she said that this would cost about a $75,000 fine or 1 year in prison if I couldn't prove my whereabouts once they investigated. What was I going to do? The good thing turned out to be that the same little girl that had made these accusations had apparently done this before and my friend from the call center verified my reaction and whereabouts for the time this crime took place. The investigation was dropped and than, I had asked the animal control to help me with advice about the prior behavior of my kitten. They said that this unpredictable behavior was usually something that would not go away and they did not feel that my baby would be safe having the kitten in my home. They ended up adopting my cat and come to find out, he became a mascot for the S.P.C.A. I than swore I would never own another cat due to all of the drama this situation had created.

Now, we have owned a cat for almost 2 years and yes I overcame my fear of owning another cat! This cat is the most amazing cat I have ever seen and I have grown to love this cat as though she was a child of my own. She has never been dificult in any way shape or form. Come to find out only a month ago, we noticed she was becoming quite plump. My husband and myself had never dealt with having a pregnant cat before so we of course had asked my cousin who had bred many cats for a litlle advice. She told us what to look for and sure enough, she was pregnant. We confirmed this on February 28th/07 and she wakes us up today, March 3rd/07 and she was crying. My husband and I kept an eye on her behavior and before we knew it, she was giving birth on our bedroom floor! We rushed around to make her a warm bed in the location of her choosing in the room and before we knew it, there was 2 kittens! Wow, I was completely surprised at how well she was taking it for practically being a baby still herself. She was not loud, she relaxed in one spot and before we knew it, there were 4 kittens. She has a lot of trust with my husband and I both and she let me coach her through the deliveries. It was the most amazing thing I had ever experienced and now a days, I have had 4 births myself!

This cat I have now, I have bonded with her now through everything. From her own kitten hood to her motherhood! We tried to make this cat a house cat but did not succeed very well. She had escaped through the screen door about 6 months ago and I felt as though I had lost my best friend! I had felt sick, I cried and I couldn't sleep knowing she was out there and maybe lost. She came home after about 7 days and she clung to me. She slept snuggled into my belly for awhile after that and believe it or not, SHE pet MY hand until she fell asleep every night! Crazy eh? Cats are alto smarter than we think and when you have a cat, rest assure that that cat knows if his or her owner loves them! They will always reward you in the end. I wouldn't trade this cat for nothing!
