Poetry: Lover's embrace

by Katie Fagan

Created on: August 05, 2010

His hands gallivant,
 in sliding across my spine
Those eyes insisting,
this wall we shall be camouflaged behind.

Rhythms of his breath,
cascading the small of my neck.

Our bodies meet,
hearts beat profusely.

Heating of the flesh,
with brazing of the chest.

With guidance,
from a suggestive nod.
Descending bodies,
into to the supple sod.

His amorous embrace,
in the most chivalrous estate.
The bustling toes,
with a slight caress of the nose.

Kiss, Kiss,
As he mutters so faintly,
“You won’t forget this.”

Ode to a lover,
embracing ever so quietly,
in a perilous place.
