I was your neighbor, your friend, your family.
I once lived in a beautiful home.
I knew that when I was hungry my belly would be full.
And then the rain came.
I lost my job, then my home and then my pride.
I now walk the streets begging for scraps of food.
I am ridiculed or worse ignored.
I feel like I have been caught up in an endless storm
No sunshine, no rainbows
I wonder if I will ever be free from all this rain.
