REVISITING MY MIND - A JOURNEY FORWARD

It has been a while since I put pen to paper

So thrilled with life’s offerings, my thoughts just came later

You kept me safe and loved me true

Till I couldn't give, what you needed me too

And so we part ways with a toothbrush and a comb

Wondering where next will be a place to call home

Can I erase you so not to feel the pain?

Or will my feelings overspill what my heart cannot contain?

Wandering is my mind, restless is my core

Dissatisfied with surroundings, craving so much more

Each chapter in life, a lesson they say

Confused in tomorrow, ignoring today

And what's to gain from all that we learn

A moment of solace, a lifetime to yearn?

So clueless I am, a slave to love

But still I play on, with faith in the above

Dreaming the dream, against the tides

Longing to reach the isle where my destiny resides

I must remap my journey, my only compass my heart

The all important question – Good Lord where do I start?
