Creative Uses of Decorative Window Film

There are so many different ways to use decorative window film to give your home a little more personality and style, it is mainly up to you to use your imagination. It also depends on whether you are using it just to be creative and add a little of yourself to your windows, or maybe  using it to hide something from view. Maybe you have a tremendously inquisitive neighbor who likes nothing better than to while a way a couple of hours staring in through their neighbors windows. Decorative window film also comes in extremely useful as a security measure, keeping your valuable possessions away from the prying eyes of any would be burglars.

All decorative window films are a remarkably easy to apply vinyl that you stick onto your windows, it can save your furniture from sun damage, but it will let in a lovely soft, natural light. As such, it will keep your rooms cooler in the summer months but lessen the amount of heat that will escape in the colder months of winter.

There are many different styles to choose from, to make your view of the bins or whatever else it is that you do not want to see into something much more preferable. You can use  some pretty floral patterns, or you could choose some fantastic landscape vistas. There are many different frosted glass effects, if it is just privacy that you are after, or you could totally frustrate your neighbors with a now you see me, now you don't effect with a colorful tree in blossom or some green bamboo.

You will certainly be able to forget about using those old fashioned net curtains that were so skilled at gathering dust and grime. If you do not want to go for the full window effect, you could try just half the window, a border, or even just some stylish accents in the corners of the windows.

You will even be able to brighten up your child’s bedroom, with either a Sleeping Beauty or Peter Pan window film. If you have been able to decorate your son or daughters bedroom with a theme it would be a shame to leave the windows out. How cool for your seven year old child to have Peter Pan knocking on his window.

You do not have to save them for just windows either. They can also be used on Patio doors, to make them safer. No matter how clean the doors are, it will still be apparent whether the doors are open or shut if you have placed window film on them. You could even place touches on mirrors inside the house, on a glass coffee table, even the front door if you happen to have any glass in it. It truly is up to you, your imagination and your own creative ability.
