Best Places to Eat in Cancun Mexico

There are numerous places to eat in Cancun, all with a different atmosphere, from street side cafes to elegant fine dining. Cancun is home to a variety of eateries that serve exotic dishes. Most restaurants that serve tourists will have menus in English, so it will be easy to decide what ingredients are in a particular dish that may be of interest. There are several restaurants that are recommended as the best places to eat in Cancun. Most restaurants require advance reservations. 

La Habichuela

La Habichuela is a quality fine dining seafood restaurant serving primarily Mexican and Latin cuisine. They have a good selection of various lobster and shrimp dishes. This restaurant is located in the heart of Cancun City, and is easily accessible from area hotels.  La Habichuela features a garden area, private rooms and a bar with a lounge. The average main course price is $260.00 and they are open daily from noon to midnight. 

El Pescador

El Pescador is a family friendly primarily seafood restaurant serving Continental cuisine. They have a wide selection of lobster, shrimp and fish dishes, and also offer more exotic entrees such as conch meat and octopus. This restaurant is open daily from 1:00 pm to 10:30 pm and the average price for a main course meal is $225.00.

Club Grill

Club Grill serves a variety of cuisine ranging from American and Continental to Latin and Mexican. They have a mixed menu to choose from featuring lamb dishes, soups and seafood. Club Grill also offers live music, a lounge and bar area, and is cigar friendly. The average main course price is $375.00 and they are open Tuesday through Sunday 7:00 pm -11:00 pm.

La Parrilla

La Parrilla features many seafood choices, tacos and steaks among other items. They serve primarily Latin and Mexican cuisine. This restaurant is very aesthetically pleasing with fountains, salon and a terrace, and is handicap accessible. They also offer catering, take out and delivery services. They are open daily from noon to 2:00 am and the average main course price is $219.00.

Lorenzillo’s

Lorenzillo’s is a unique restaurant that features an on-site lobster farm serving fresh lobster dishes that can be ordered year round. They also offer shrimp and fish entrees.
