silently not knowing
We move silently not knowing,
as fire flies in the night stillness glowing
your pain-filled is stillness showing
We spoke of dreams not knowing
Dreams are never enough to win a war
just more nameless faces from afar
Heavy weights and burdens waiting at the door
Culminate to trip me, buts who's keeping score
Gathering together sparks to light my way
like those flies at the end of the day
Return to some, and depart from you
From midnight prowl til morning dew
Your colors fading is the setting sun
less vivid now when you were young
we move silently not knowing
your transparent beauty still growing.

Anticipating every act
And counting those
