No man, not even one like me
Could have seen
What was coming to me.
A life lived solo
Afraid of being alone
Growing old
Without someone
He could call his own.
Then I saw you walking by
With a twinkle in your eye
Those green eyes
My oh my.
The rest is history
Your beauty left me blind
And pulled me from the ground
Leaving gravity behind.
Baby, day or night
I look into the sky
And see green
Where I should see blue.
The sun and moon hits your eyes
The reflection took me by surprise
Now I'm falling into an
Emerald Sky.
I know you're probably sick
Of hearing stuff like this
I'm always comparing you
To the sky, the sun and moon
And the stars.
But that's the only way
To say
How pretty you are.
Baby, day or night
I look into the sky
And see green
Where I should see blue.
The sun and moon hits your eyes
The reflection took me by surprise
Now I'm falling into an
Emerald Sky.
In all my wildest dreams
I've never seen
Such a pretty green
Or a girl that is
So precious to me.
I begin to wonder why
Then I look you in the eyes
And I let that why
Fly right on by.
I can see it in the stars across the sky
I see the dreams of you and I.
Baby, you gave me wings
I tried to fly.
I flew right into love
And now I'm falling
Right into your Emerald Sky.
Baby, day or night
I look into the sky
And see green
Where I should see blue.
The sun and moon hits your eyes
The reflection took me by surprise
Now I'm falling into an
Emerald Sky.
Baby, day or night
I look into the sky
And see green
Where I should see blue.
The sun and moon hits your eyes
The reflection took me by surprise
Now I'm falling into an
Emerald Sky.
