Set Me Free
If by chance you’ve changed your mind
And you don’t want to be with me
Don’t play with my heart and soul
Just set me free.
Don’t feel sorry for me
Just because you think you should
Don’t just stay with me
I can live without you, I know that I could
Set me free to live my life
From this excruciating pain
Of not knowing what you want
Believe me you have nothing to gain
You are not the only one
Who has had a change of heart
Sometimes it just happens
And couples grow apart.
So please go on with your life
Be who you need to be
But, do the right thing
And just set me free.

Poetry: Set me free
What You’ve Done To Me
There’s no turning back now it’s over
Stuck in suspended animation
Yet I still find
Take my breath away
Maybe then I'll gain
A stronger soul to live with
And a lovelier heart to beat
Make me marvel
At some small
Set Me Free
If by chance you’ve changed your mind
And you don’t want to be with me
Don’t play with my heart
by ek ellis
Soaring above the heavens
freeing her soul held captive
She glides through the air
her majestic head held high
delicate wings

Set me free
I am what I am
Please
Let me be
A young eagle
First time in flight
Where will such land
In darkness of night?
Set me
