Poetry: Someday

Someday

I saw you again

You smiled and looked away

Almost like I wasn't there

I guess nothing has changed

I waited for you

You never showed

I don't know why I still do this

Just stare down the road

It seems like yesterday

I brought you that rose

How time does fly

While you're on your own

I will be with you soon

No need to fear

That smile, that face

Those eyes, those ears

For fifteen years

I have waited for this day

The same thing that took you

Has now taken me away

I will see you soon

Please wait somewhere near

I am coming to be with you

No more pain, no more tears
