The technologically advance Protoss and use this in all of there forces in the Starcraft game to there advantage.  All Protoss units and buildings utilise shields to protect them from harm and these shield rejuvenate after time when attacks have depleted them.  They are also the most psychically advanced race having had millennium to perfect it.  The Protoss also utilise more entirely robotic units then the Terrans

This psychic gift for the Protoss has alerted them to the deadly threat that is the Zerg, and as such is dedicated to destroying it.  If the Terrans get in their way then so be it the Protoss will deal with them too.

The Protoss use technologically superior energy weaponry and even psionically enhanced blades to overcome and destroy their enemy.  This advantage in technology sees some of their units dealing out massive amounts of damage more so then any other races.  They are also a somewhat proud and haughty race with a deep sense of martial honour, which occasionally holds them back from more advantageous alliances.

The Protoss also use their technologically advantage is the production of buildings in the Starcraft game.  The purely robotic Probes merely open a warp rift along which will teleport a complete Protoss building of the type selection.  As the saying goes “here’s one I made earlier”.  These buildings are teleported from the Protoss home worlds.  It also means the Protoss can quickly muster in Cannons in both defensive and offensive placements near existing Pylons with surprising speed.

The only thing keeping the otherwise powerful Protoss in check is the fact that they are the most expensive units in the game to produce.  This combined with their slow spawn rate sees the Protoss outnumbered on the field of battle.

The forces of the Protoss also have some of the more power psychic and energy using abilities.  The High Templar’s Psionic Storm is known for its power to destroy bunched up units especially those that are air borne with ease.  Similarly the Dark Archons Mind Control ability gives them the power to permanently control any enemy unit, if you can gain control of a Terran SCV or a Zerg Drones you can even create this forces to assist the powerful Protoss in destroying there enemy.

Protoss are a powerful race in the world of Starcraft and one favoured by beginners and experts alike due to the sheer power of there units.  En Taro Adun or in honour of Adun as the Protoss would say.
