An overcoming life of grace
Is not won by warring will
When all hell attacks apace
I must let my thoughts distill
Living meek ‘gainst satan’s wiles
May seem to some a weakness
Yet God’s rainbows shower smiles
Neath all the stormy tempest
To rise above this deathly tide
When all that I hold dearest
Is pressed hard on every side
Demands a faith that’s fearless
To rest in God’s assurance
The footprints that I’ve pressed
In the sands of time’s endurance
Are best walked at His behest

In the battle with all
As I walked the beach the other day
Asked God why I’m feeling this way
What do you feel my precious child
No need to
