A kitchen is one important part of the household. It needs to be well organised even if the size of the kitchen is embarrassingly small. It takes plenty of effort and time to tidy your kitchen and keep everything in the right place. This helps greatly with being able to work within the small kitchen area. You need to know what goes where to help free space for other needed tools/food. At times, you might waste precious space by adding tools that you barely use and getting rid of them or storing them could make smaller kitchens more workable.
Prepare a plan!
Before you start organising your kitchen, you need to prepare a proper plan to arrange all your tools exactly where they should be. It can help you concentrate on your free space and arrange everything into position for ease of use.
1) Drawers and shelves!
A lot of your kitchen implements can be kept in drawers, neatly away from sight. While you plan your kitchen space, leave plenty of room for drawers and shelves which can be used for storing dishes and other items. These might include cereal boxes, food ingredients etc. Keep a separate area for aprons, oven gloves, tongs, tea towels and kitchen accessories which you need on a day to day basis.
2) Placing kitchen utensils!
Do a thorough idea of where your utensils could be hung. It is important to maintain enough space for each appliance or tool on its own. When placing these appliances and utensils, make sure that they can be easily accessed without difficultly of having to move other tools. Store other kitchen items like towels, table mats, tissues and napkins in separate drawers to prevent confusion.
3) Labelling!
This can be a very good option if you want to avoid confusion. Too many drawers can cause confusion. If you’re the one placing the tools around the kitchen, you might remember where they will be found. Labelling jars, or different drawers helps everyone to find things easily.
4) Clean!
You should very well know that a kitchen should be kept clean at all times. Wipe all kitchen surfaces, dishes, the sink and the cooker after use. Do not leave the tools dirty for prolonged periods of time as it can cause odors. A dirty sink doesn't look good and will certainly attract flies that would spread bacteria and diseases throughout the whole kitchen.
Summary
Overall, a kitchen should be organised well so it can provide for your cooking needs. Kitchens, even when small, can look amazingly attractive if the planning of their upkeep and storage is well thought out.
