Poetry: Escape

by Michelle Lea

Created on: July 31, 2010

I had to escape the situation...

to pull a Nancy's all I could do.

         Bust out!

        Just exit!

        To withdraw!

Anything to avoid my fate is all I could do.

I was flossing to be something I'm not.

Putting on a front might work

to get me outta this mess

           afterall it couldn't hurt.

To pretend just a little longer

just might guarantee my escape!
