I started as a Brownie and rose to the status of Senior Scout nothing pleased me more than selling my cookies and going to the camp-outs. Many of the values that I was raised to have and many of the morals that I established early in life came from the Girl Scouts. I agree that the Scouts must grow with the times and that times change. I also feel, however, that there is no substitute for good old fashion hard work and this is one of the core values of the scouts.

I remember going out and helping to clean up after storms had taken down limbs and trees in our area and I remember going and shopping for the elderly and helping them clean their homes. These activity's are the ones that taught me the respect that I have for my elders. I came from a family with very little moral fiber so everything that I have, I received from the scouts. It is my opinion that if the council feels that they must change the face of the Girl Scouts, well then I will support them in it. As I have always supported the Girl Scouts in every endeavor and feel that all Past,Present and Future Girl Scouts should be just as supportive as the GSA has supported many of us in this roller coaster that we have called life. As the world changes we too must change and support an organization that stands for the growth of young women everywhere.
