The early twenty first century has been a rough path for the working class where people are struggling to keep their existing jobs while trying to make a comfortable life for their children.

For those who believe that college is not on the agenda because they are constantly asking themselves the same question “Where are we supposed to get the time to attend classes when we have full time jobs and the children to worry about?”  The answer to all this is yes; adults can attend school while working around their daily schedules.

The job market has been shrinking due to that most positions have been outsourced overseas and the average adult only has a high school diploma. Years ago, when they graduated from high school, jobs were plentiful and a high school degree was considered to be a big thing at the time and nobody ever bothered to pursue a higher education beyond the twelfth grade. Today most employers don't accept applicants with just a high school education, what they want is employees with college degrees.

College offers adults the opportunity to change their lives by pursuing degrees that will one day help them land higher wage jobs and to climb up another level of the economic ladder. It can become a second chance for people who have lost out on a formal education, but it will also give them a chance to explore careers that are currently in demand.

Education is an important factor in society because it helps people get exposed to important topics such as art, literature, the sciences, history, sociology and cultural diversity. A college degree can help adults expand their horizons in knowledge and helps them gain a better understanding about the world they live in.

The average adult will ask themselves about time management, money and dedication. The answer is yes, they can do it. Most adults have to work, but they can still go back to school because there are alternatives that can help them keep their day jobs while earning a degree at the same time. Most colleges offer evening classes where adults are able to attend after work. The internet has also been a huge strong hold in the education realm. More colleges are offering adults the opportunity to earn their degrees online. They can  remain at their jobs, continue their daily routine of caring for the children while participating in their studies.
