The principles of making money online and offline do not differ.  The principles are always the same.  However, the tactics change.  The principles of making money whether online or offline will always be the same.  The tactics, however, cannot withstand the test of time.  They are always in constant change and always in a state of flux.

To make money online, you need to learn the principles, not the tactics.  You can have your own tactics and you can learn from others as well.  You can also create new tactics in the course of time.  The things you need to master are principles not techniques.  If you do not do that, the outcome will disappoint you.

Another thing you need to know about the business of making money online is that it is not easy.  Before you enter the world of Internet marketing, you have to forget about all of the “get rich quickly” books and systems.  Internet marketing is not easy and will never be easy.  There is a lot of work involved.

Many successful online vendors that generate million of dollars yearly work really hard.  I do not recall exactly the name of one of them, but he generates 60 million dollars a year and he works 18 hours a day.

Making money online does not happen by having a website and a product.  You need to make an effort promoting your website and products.  This can take time, money and effort.  If you persevere, you will achieve what you want.  If you want fast results and want to make money fast, you can still do that.  This is through some advertising techniques like PPP, Pay Per Play (Audio ads) that will generate money for you at the expense of your visitors’ loyalty.  PPP will guarantee 100% conversion rate, but you won’t build trust and you won’t earn a steady income.

When you make money fast but you do not generate a steady income, you are not successful.   Success is not something you reach, it is something you maintain.  If you made money last week, but didn’t make it today, you are not successful.  You need to make it today, tomorrow, after tomorrow, next week, and so on.  That’s success.

Making money online cannot happen by learning the tactics, but by learning the principles.  This is because the former change, while the latter do not.  You also need to forget about all the hype of making money fast.  A lot of work is involved if you really want to succeed online.  Succeeding online is about generating a steady income.  It is not about making money fast today, but not tomorrow.
